“Going around under an umbrella interferes with one's looking up at the
sky.”
– Jerzy Kosinski
Speaking of going around under an umbrella, check out a cover of Arthur Johnston and Johnny Burke's 1936 popular song "Pennies From Heaven" by Eric Frazier and Friends featuring me, Stephanie Jeannot on vocals, the cool tap dancing of Eric Frazier and also soem outstanding musicians including Danny Mixon on keys, Sax-E on saxophone, Dwayne "Cook" Broadnazx on drums, Paul Beaudry on bass and Eric Frazier on congas.
Together, we performed this jazz tune live at the Roosevelt Public Library in Roosevelt, NY.

Thank you for checking out my blog post.
Today is World Water Day, which is a great time to reflect on how fortunate those of us that have clean, safe, drinking water really are. Much of the world is not so lucky so it is critically important that we think about how we care for our precious, "Pennies from Heaven."
Have an amazing day!
Love that quote at the top. I never like during an umbrella anyways ;) Love the cover, what a great song for World Water Day.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat quote is awesome, especially since I never like to carry an umbrella! It's great that you're raising awareness of World Water Day.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually carry one either.
DeleteWow, the Roosevelt library must be huge. The stage is beautiful. Pennies From Heaven is such a nice classic which I enjoy. Thanks for the reminder about World Water Day.
ReplyDeleteI know. And you should see the room that the stage faces. Humongous.
DeleteI had read about World Water Day. One suggestion was a bottle flipping contest. I have banned bottle flipping from my classroom (the constant thumps were driving me bonkers). But today I will allow it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so cool.
DeleteThat is a great quote and I never thought about it blocking my view. You sound amazing as always. I hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for that.
DeleteThis is a great song for a great cause! I love the quote as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jen
DeleteWe are very fortunate. We should never take having clean water for granted.
ReplyDeleteThat;s true
DeleteGreat quote. It is a great reminder to appreciate things we so easily take for granted like clean readily available water.
ReplyDeleteYup. Clean water is such an important topic.
DeleteSuch a great quote and it's so important that we don't forget about those who don't have access to clean water. It's something we should never take for granted.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote and the song. As always you inspire me and I so enjoy hearing you sing.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, what a great quote. While I do love a cute umbrella I always seem to leave mine at home, so I definitely end up seeing plenty of the sky as I rush to/from my vehicle. ;)
ReplyDeletePennies from Heaven is a fantastic song. I am very thankful to have access to clean water. I think it is terrible people have to walk so far to get it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful song and voice! I was not aware of the significance of the day, but it is the perfect time to try and give back but also be aware of how lucky I am. SO many people struggle for water.
ReplyDeleteI love your voice so much! And thank you for drawing some attention to world water day. Everyone deserves access to drinking water.
