You Are Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile

So, my kids are doing Annie for their winter musical and I am here listening to the soundtrack, and though my favorite song from the play is "Tomorrow," another song has grown on me a lot because of the truthful words; "You Are Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile."

If you have yet to hear it, you should definitely consider listening to the soundtrack or seeing the movie. I think I will always love seeing Aileen Quinn, Carol Burnett and Bernadette Peters playing their roles in this film. My family sat down to watch it together on Thanksgiving Day and it was something. Brought back so many memories.

If you have seen it, you know what I am talking about. If you haven’t you should. The Special Anniversary Edition of Annie is available on Amazon.com.
Check it out here: Annie (Special Anniversary Edition)

I hope that today brings to you many, many reasons to smile because it is so worth it. Have a great day!

  4. I loved the musical and would love to watch it again. Thank goodness they have it now on DVD! I can watch it anytime I wish and I'd love to have my grandchildren sit and watch this with me too. "Tomorrow" is still my favorite motivational song from the musical.

  5. I love Annie! I was actually thinking about introducing my kids to this movie/story - thinking they are old enough now. I remember watching Annie a lot at my grandmother;s house. She didnt have many movies at home so we watched this one a lot!

  6. I don't really know how it's possible, but I have yet to ever watch Annie! There are many old classics that I have never seen -- which reminds me that I really need to change that! How fun for your kids to be involved in keeping Annie alive for new generations.

  8. I absolutely loved the original Annie, and would sing those songs until my throat hurt when I was a kid. And, even though I've seen it a million times, I can't for the life of me remember the tune of ' You Are Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile.' Guess I better go look it up.

  10. Annie has always been one of my FAVORITE movies and musicals! I have to watch it whenever it is on and yes, I sing along with every song! Punjab was my favorite character when I was younger and as I grew up (and fell in love with Tim Curry) I adored Rooster and Ms. Hannigan!

  13. Til this day I sing that song to remind myself to smile. Plus it's good for the jaw muscles LOL! If only every one would remember this and perhaps hum the tune to themselves, we'd have a happier world.

    1. We all had such a fantastic time. Funny! My nephew who is ten was so against watching it and had an attitude for the first half hour of it until he realized, this movie is great, got into it and was laughing along with us and even singing the songs. Have to love a film that has that type of impact.

  17. I love Annie. Always have. My hubby jokes that I still go around the house singing the songs from it like crazy. Did you see the reality show they had a few years ago about the casting of the broadway musical? It as hilarious. Very fun.
